Abstract
Eligio Resta's philosophical work has been characterized by the attention devoted to the relationship that law has with violence. The study of the philosopher's pathways, his reflections and the paradoxes arising from them, offers an opportunity to reflect on a classic theme in the philosophy of law. Starting from the critique made of the relationship between violence and law and the proposal put forward by Resta for a partially different law, the following work aims to emphasize the ambiguities that remain if one assumes conflictuality as the prevailing anthropological datum.
