Abstract

Drawing on archival sources and a critical reassessment of Italian and international historiography, the article analyses Italian foreign policy towards the Middle East in the late 1970s. Particular attention is devoted to the pivotal developments that defined the period, including the Camp David Accords, the signing of the Egyptian-Israeli peace treaty, and the evolution of the Palestinian question.
