Resumen

The goal of this paper is to show how in the West the definition of war has become unspeakable. At the dawn of European civilization, conflicts were considered “natural” and did not have to be justified, but already under the Roman Empire, theories of just war began to be constructed, which Christianity sought to further normalize by masking the will to power and overpower with moral precepts. The current portrayal of conflicts, told by both sides as a struggle of good versus evil, ignoring the real stakes, makes it even more difficult to find solutions to wars.
