“Dialogoi. Rivista di studi comparatistici”, fascicolo 12/2026

Il numero, come di consueto, si apre con la parte “monografica” che per il prossimo fascicolo – coerentemente con i contenuti del fascicolo 11 – approfondisce una delle grandi motivazioni della Modernità ma anche dell’eredità classica raggruppate da una tematica fondazionale: il rapporto con il sacro e con il trascendente, particolarmente organizzato attorno alla divinità che storicamente, e maggioritariamente, si è espressa a favore di quello che abitualmente si definisce nel monoteismo. Come è noto il monoteismo è considerato come forma superiore del divino, a scapito delle concezioni politeistiche considerate come mitologiche o addirittura primitive. Eppure in tempi risalenti al millennio in corso o agli ultimi trascorsi, il monoteismo si è rivelato intriso di una concezione assoluta che spesso ha manifestato suprematismi e volontà di potenza e di prevaricazione. Qual è quel Dio unico e assoluto che punisce, castiga o ricompensa con giustizia o equità?

The issue opens with a “monographic” section which, in line with the contents of issue 11, explores one of the great motivations of Modernity but also of the classical heritage, grouped together under a fundamental theme: the relationship with the sacred and the transcendent, particularly organized around the divinity that historically, and for the most part, has expressed itself in favour of what is commonly defined as monotheism. As is well known, monotheism is considered a superior form of divinity, to the detriment of polytheistic conceptions, which are regarded as mythological or even primitive. Yet in times dating back to the current millennium or the last few millennia, monotheism has proved to be imbued with an absolute conception that has often manifested supremacism and a desire for power and domination. Who is this one and only God who punishes, chastises, or rewards with justice and fairness?
