Abstract
The instances promoted in the international web of the Society of Jesus are applied with an unprecedented perception of otherness. This leads to the search for values mediating the various situations within perspectives similar to those that will develop as the hermeneutical tool of inculturation. For the Fathers it is a matter of working with a “gentle way” or “accommodation”, preparing the pragmatic and communicative parameters based on the rhetoric of persuasion (suadēre), aimed at a dialogue between the specific realities. The target of this work is to illustrate the communicative strategy elaborated by the Jesuit Order, to examine some case studies of unalike cultural areas, in order to show how, without coercion, the message can be articulated on channels of reciprocity while respecting differences.
