Abstract italiano
English abstract
Addressing the theme of Mousiké Tèchne, due to its fragmented and almost impalpable presence in Aristotle’s writings, requires a progressive approach, in which to place crucial questions, starting from the traditional thesis of the ideological division between manual and intellectual work in 4th century Greece, which would have been inspired by the philosophies of Plato and Aristotle, a presumed cause, therefore, of the devaluation of Techne. This thesis is here intended to be reappraised, also based on the results of the studies by Rodolfo Mondolfo, which denounce the irrelevance of this as of other commonplaces weighing on ancient thought. The concrete investigation on the sophisticated concept of Techne, which spans almost all of Aristotle’s work, from Protreptico, to Physics, Metaphysics, Nicomachean Ethics, allows to identify the essential 24 theoretical junctions and outcomes, from matter and form, to Hexis, Kairos, to symmetry, and not least to the concept of para physin (which Gianni Vattimo has identified as the germ cell of the theory of artistic production in Aristotle), through which to access the theme of Aristotelian aesthetics and its many forms, fundamentally characterized by their making of the “human” sphere the elective object of a structured work of art.

Abstract italiano
English abstract
Debating whether philosophy can still have a “metaphysical” declination is neither useless nor anachronistic because the issue deals with the very identity of philosophy. However, in the present “age of sciences” this can be addressed only through a direct relationship with the protagonists of scientific thought. Some works by the Italian physicist C. Rovelli lend themselves to this operation, because he himself sees in the first (real) Greek philosopher Anaximander the initiator of the scientific revolution. Thus going back to the first steps of philosophical and scientific thought, we can rekindle the debate on the very essence of philosophy today, not in conflict, but in dialogue with scientific knowledge.

Abstract italiano
English abstract
This short essay is intended to highlight, within Gadda’s work, the features of the leading female characters present in the novel, therefore outlining the author’s perception of women, sexuality, love and their innumerable facets – ranging from the sublime to the dreadful – always full, nonetheless, of interest and compassion for the human soul. In the same way, by reporting entire passages on the description of the characters, it intends to give a short but significant example of the multiform, extraordinary style of the author, one of the greatest of the twentieth-century.

Abstract italiano
Eppure nelle scuole italiane proliferano i laboratori teatrali.
English Abstract
The essay investigates the teaching of the theatrical genre in upper-secondary school. In this regard, some critical issues attributable to different reasons emerge. Ministerial guidance give meagre indications on theatrical teaching. Italian literature teachers, given the reduced number of hours for the many requests and in some cases the lack of preparation in theatre history, are forced to sacrifice this school subject. Even the teaching of ancient theater is not valued, although it’s part of our culture. And yet theatrical workshops proliferate in Italian schools. Theatrical education should include the theoretical knowledge of the dramatic genre, the theatrical practice, and possibly even the attendance to actual theatrical performances. The cultural association Kerkís. Teatro antico in scena has been staging Greek and Latin tragedies and comedies with success for years. Three shows are especially recommended, of which the author has offered a review at the end of this article.

Abstract italiano
English abstract
Professor Antonini, having passed the fifty-year mark, reflects with bitterness on how his life has been deprived of the serenity he once knew since, one day, he opened his eyes and saw the wickedness and envy that, as a matter of fact, had always surrounded him, without him ever having had the slightest hint of suspicion. But with the help of Giulia Beccaria’s Epistolario, of The Betrothed, of Pascoli’s poem Il libro and of some of Dante’s verses, he is finally reassured, and concludes that the good always wins, even when the evil seems to have the upper hand. Indeed, the upper hand is often ephemeral and the ultimate goal, Antonini believes, will always remain the good.

Abstract italiano

Dick uses the genre of science-fiction to deal with issues about human existence, his relation with himself and others, his spirituality, the ways of perception, the deceptions of propaganda and political power, and the relationship between reality and fiction, using a polymorphous, ironic, creative language that models an unmistakable style, making the reading compelling and engaging.
Abstract italiano
English abstract
This novel and the movie based on it deal with the theme of the uniqueness of the individual, human desires and aspirations that fail to materialise because the individual finds himself forced into a society which homologates and duplicates, destroying souls and forcing them into the web of Common Sense, thus taking away the freedom to fully realise oneself, in exchange for a safe, quiet and ordinary life, which ends up being grey and unsatisfactory.
