Glitch. Semantics of computational enunciation

  • Federico Biggio

Abstract

The contribution aims to analyse from the point of view of the semiotics of the enunciation the sign of the glitch, which is traceable to a particular type of enunciator, the computational one. Both manifestations of accidental and artistic glitch will be firstly considered; subsequently we will take into account cases in which processes of identification and heuristic discovery of glitches lead the user to interpret the computational enunciation in the right way, in order to refer it to an artificial instance that, normally during mediation, remains hidden and transparent.
