Structuration and enunciation

  • Daniele Barbieri

Abstract

Enunciation is a particular case of a more general operation that we can call structuration. Structuration is the implicit perspectival organization of the world (with its implicit reduction of complexity) that is performed by an agent when he realizes something. This structuration can be as elementary as the building up a refuge (which organizes the world as internal vs external), but also complex as a verbal enunciation. From the proto-enunciation of material creation to the full enunciation, a complex field extends, within which it is possible to position the musical, the visual, the verbal expression, and the specific positions of Benveniste and Greimas, but also that of Eco.
