Rivista internazionale di Filosofia e Psicologia

Rivista internazionale di Filosofia e Psicologia is a peer reviewed, no-fees full open access journal that aims to promote and to develop critical discussions and thorough reflections on the links connecting philosophical and psychological research.

Rivista internazionale di Filosofia e Psicologia promotes the practice of an open, critical, secular, nondogmatic, interdisciplinary and intercultural form of research. According to the Journal's perspective, philosophy and psychology should not be considered as two closed and isolated branches of knowledge, but as two lines of inquiry that interconnect each other by virtue of their common research topic: i.e. the human condition, together with all the relations it entertains with the social and environmental context.

Rivista internazionale di Filosofia e Psicologia welcomes papers with speculative, critical-comparative and empirical content addressing topics concerning the human mind and behavior, particularly those examining cognitive, emotional and motivational processes; the theory of knowledge and its foundation; the constitution of intersubjectivity and the genesis of social and ethical relationships; dynamics of ethical relations; the relationship between human and non-human identity; the genesis and the reproduction of cultural formations as well as intercultural dynamics; the origins and causes of what is in general called “anomaly” and “pathology”, taking into consideration recent findings from neuroscience, cognitive science, biology and genetics.

Studies belonging to traditions such as the psychodynamic and psychonalytic ones in psychology or “continental” philosophy (with particular reference to transcendentalism, idealism, phenomenology and critical theory), that are often excluded from the group of disciplines considered suitable for cooperating with the “new sciences of mind”, are also strongly encouraged.

Manuscripts in Italian and English will be considered for publication.
