Résumé

While acknowledging the transformative power of the word, working with patients who speak little or do not understand the Italian language is not the only means by which to trigger processes of symbolization and resilience. This work presents the therapeutic mediation device designed for working with this particular type of user and how using a mediator-object – the artifact – to grasp the theoretical and therapeutic scope of this approach in multicultural contexts.
