Abstract

I am interested in showing that, even without evidence of a direct influence of Spinoza on Fanon, the similarities between Spinoza and Fanon are not a coincidence and in fact share in common a set of causes that are both historical and conceptual: in responding to Cartesianism, they at once destroy and absorb method in the attempt to produce non-method, namely, disalienation or intuition.
