Abstract

David Harvey offers an integrated analysis of Marx’s understanding of capitalist processes and examines how social relations are shaped by radical individualization, which is materially produced through urban space. As a result, communal life has been replaced by an aggregated, fragmented existence. In response, Harvey advocates for a revolutionary secular humanism as a potential remedy.
