ETHICAL CODE / PUBLICATION ETHICS - I.Con
The journal I.Con is an international peer-reviewed scientific journal committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics, adhering strictly to the principles defined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
1. Publication and Authorship
The publication of an article in a peer-reviewed academic journal is a fundamental component in the development of a coherent and respected network of knowledge, directly reflecting the quality of work of the authors and supporting institutions. Authors must guarantee that submitted manuscripts represent entirely original work and are not plagiarized in whole or in part. Submissions must not contain fraudulent data, must not have been previously published elsewhere, and must not be under simultaneous consideration by any other journal. Authors are also required to secure all necessary permissions for any copyrighted material reproduced within their text.
2. Authors' Responsibilities
Authors submitting to I.Con are obligated to participate fully in the double-blind peer review process. They must ensure that all data presented in the paper are authentic and accurately referenced, and that authorship is attributed solely to those individuals who made significant contributions to the research. Authors must protect the safety, rights, and anonymity of any research participants. Furthermore, should an author discover a significant error or inaccuracy in a published paper, they are required to notify the Editors immediately and cooperate fully in issuing a correction or retraction.
3. Peer Review and Reviewers' Responsibilities
The evaluation process relies on absolute mutual anonymity between authors and referees throughout the double-blind review. Reviewers are selected based on their specific academic expertise and are expected to deliver objective, constructive, and well-reasoned evaluations without personal criticism. Referees must decline invitations if they recognize any conflict of interest stemming from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with authors or institutions connected to the work. Reviewers are also required to point out relevant published work not yet cited and must treat all manuscripts received as strictly confidential documents.
4. Editorial Responsibilities
The Editors and Editorial Board hold full authority to accept or reject submissions based exclusively on scientific merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal's scope, without regard to the author's identity or background. Editors must remain entirely free of conflicts of interest regarding evaluated papers; in the event that an Editor submits a manuscript to the journal, the entire review process is handled independently by another board member. Editors guarantee the confidentiality of reviewers and commit to publishing corrections, clarifications, or retractions promptly whenever errors or misconduct are identified.
5. Publishing Ethics Issues
The Editorial Board actively monitors and safeguards publication ethics, maintaining a strict policy against plagiarism, self-plagiarism, citation manipulation, and data falsification. When a published paper is found to contain major inaccuracies or misleading content, a correction will be issued promptly. If an investigation confirms fraudulent data or severe ethical violations, the article will be formally retracted, with the retraction clearly marked for readers and indexing systems.
