Abstract

The text offers an interpretation of the antinomies of culture that emerged in Adorno’s reflections after the catastrophe of Auschwitz. Faced with the failure of traditional culture and metaphysics, Adorno proposes the outlines of an ‘other reason’ that is capable of thinking against itself and intervening in the transformation of the real world through philosophy and art.
