Astrazione reale e razionalità procedurale nel postmoderno avanzato. Prime ipotesi di periodizzazione

Abstract

The article reflects on the appropriateness of distinguishing between two different moments of postmodernism, pointing to the mixture of unchallenged capitalism with new forms of instrumental rationality as a new condition to be examined. In diagnosing this condition, it examines the fate of dialectics and aesthetics in the “age of the surface”, establishing the need to periodise and historicise as tools for maintaining a way of thinking that is still modern and still political.
