Libri e opuscoli della e sulla Prima Internazionale (1871-1928)

Abstract

This is the first commented critical bibliography of the books that were published by
or on the First International in Italy from the key Congress in Rimini in 1872 to the 1920s,
when all the press of the anarchist and socialist movement was silenced by the Fascist regime. In
this periodization resides one of the novelties of this contribution, which traces an ideal but also
material connection-made of circulations of ideas through the printed word, between the earliest
generations of the anarchist movement in Italy. Based on many years of archival and documentary
research, this text includes a short analytical description of each title and a final chronology
of the main publications.
