Habitat di luce. Riflessioni sulla luce come medium artistico e politico

Resumen

The article investigates light as an aesthetic and political medium, interpreting it as an ‘a posteriori’ element that stabilizes the image and discloses its implicit intentionality. Such intentionality is inscribed in form, understood as a principle of order that unifies the manifold within a context that is simultaneously aesthetic, natural and political. From this perspective, the transition from color to light in contemporary art – here exemplified by the installations of Dan Flavin and Ólafur Elíasson – does not simply lead to a new aesthetic, but to a reconfiguration of the relationship between image, subject and community.
