Le radici pratiche della conoscenza: Aldo Giorgio Gargani e l’‘epistemologia orizzontale’

Abstract

In this paper I provide some of the reasons underlying Aldo Giorgio Gargani’s discourse of the possibilities of knowledge, namely about what I propose to call his ‘horizontal epistemology’. My aim is to show its main traits by considering some critical aspects about the forms of life, the roles of expressiveness and organization, and the pivotal nexus between epistemology and aesthetics. At the same time, I also focus on a selection of methodological aspects that characterize Gargani’s critical discourse on the practical roots of knowledge in order to show the pragmatic and relational attitudes on which it rests and the influence of the Wittgensteinian philosophy on it.
