Filosofia e Cultura
double blind peer review
B@BELONLINE is a Philosophy journal founded in December 2000 on proposal by Francesca Brezzi (at that time Head of the Department of Philosophy at the Roma Tre University), in order to express different interests and perspectives of the Department’s research. It was a real innovation for the academic environment, because it wanted to rethink the academic knowledge also using new information and multimedia technologies. Currently the Director is Francesca Brezzi, signed in the journalists register; Deputy Directors are Patrizia Cipolletta and Chiara Di Marco (from 2017 M.T. Pansera); the Scientific Committee is made up of qualified national and international scholars. Since 2006, it is also available a paper edition, which however maintains the on-line structure and graphics. B@bel has a central body that is B@bel theme – with different titles and editors each issue – which collects several contributions on the topic chosen by the Scientific Commettee. The journal has also six headings with different editors: Open space, Women’s Fan, Philosophy and ..., Images and Philosophy, B@bel Garden, At the End of the Day, Books and events. Until 2017 the printed journal B@BELONLINE / PRINT was published every six months. Currently one exit per year is scheduled. The volumes so far published are 19. In a separate file is attached the list of the 19 titles of B@bel theme together with names of their editors and the authors who collaborated. In 2007 the journal has won the Philosophy Award City of Syracuse and in 2017 it has won the Philosophy-Philosophy Practices Prize from the city of Certaldo. Since 2009 it has become a blind peer jounal. Since 2010, it has become part of the B-level journals and is waiting to pass into the A level.
